Good Food for New Arrivals

This program provides:

  • Workshops on nutritional issues for clients from refugee background and healthy eating.
  • Professional Development for staff working in the health, welfare and education sectors. 
  • Resources on a range of nutrition issues for refugee clients including iron deficiency, vitamin D deficiency, infant feeding and chronic disease.

A comprehensive  resource training website has been developed for professionals at www.asetts.org.au/nutritiontraining.

The program commenced in 2001 and is a joint project between ASeTTS and the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA).
