Call for Expressions of Interest - Physical Therapy Program

 

As part of the recovery process, ASeTTS wants to offer a physical therapy program from our Beaufort Street offices one day per week (or on two separate days if preferred) which may include any of the following services:

  • Occupational Therapy with a focus on pain management and treatment and recovery through active participation and engagement with the patient/ client which may include remedial massage, trigger point therapy and general work/ home based strategies that the patient/ client can implement after the therapy to assist in their recovery;
  • Physiotherapy focusing on physiotherapy, manipulation and deep muscle treatments; and /or
  • Complementary therapies including aromatherapy, naturopathy and osteotherapy.

We are seeking suitably qualified and experienced staff to provide specialist torture and trauma services within remote Detention Centres. The successful candidates should have a relevant tertiary qualification and experience in providing flexible trauma services. Training and support will be provided.
